The Subtle Vegan - Christmas Edition

House Of Influence editor, Jess Impiazzi, is back with her subtle vegan column, finding the best of the plant based Christmas treats on offer this year.

It feels like only yesterday I was picking out the best vegan Christmas dishes I could find, yet here we are a year later doing it all again! Ready for Christmas 2021.

I’ve been searching the supermarkets and stores to find new plant-based delights to tingle our taste buds this Christmas so here are my best finds so far.

I have to start with the Vegan Turkey from Wiked Kitchen, which is available at Tesco. A delicious turkey substitute, which means we can now have a full plate for Christmas dinner rather than just a load of vegetables and some pity looks from the family.

Now one thing that I simply love on my Christmas dinner is a yorkshire pudding yet in the past i have found it very difficult to find a vegan version, but Hurrah! Its Aldi to the rescue, they have some super tasty Vegan friendly yorkshire pudding and you can get them right here…

Let’s swiftly move to the fun stuff… Who doesn’t love baileys on ice at Christmas? I’ve always found it to be a very festive beverage! Obviously not vegan friendly. I’ve found a delicious version of the classic Baileys that is vegan friendly and utterly delicious. I could drink the whole bottle! (I promise not to!) Check Out Dirty Cow’s version right here!

I can’t write a vegan Christmas food list without adding in some sweets for all the sweet-tooths out there. Now this popular brand by Jamie Laing still comes to the top of my list! candy kittens is to this day one of my favourite vegan sweet brands.

I hope my little list of plant-based finds helps you enjoy your Christmas food to the maximum this year, and from all of us at HOI, we wish you a very merry Christmas!
